We are planning to take all the children from Year 6 on a residential visit to London, between Tuesday 6 June and Wednesday 7 June, 2017.
We will stay in a youth hostel in North London. This hostel is attractive and safe and is very experienced at hosting groups of school children and is set up to cater well for their needs. The children will sleep in dormitories, with Abbey Park children sleeping in rooms exclusively for them.
During the day we will visit a number of places of interest (Covent Garden, National History Museum etc.) which will acquaint them with their capital city. We will also be taking them to see an age appropriate West End show (probably Wicked, although this has to be confirmed). A residential visit such as this will give the children the chance to be independent, as well as giving them fantastic new experiences and we know they will both learn from and enjoy the visit. We will be having a meeting for parents nearer the time, for you to ask any questions you have.
The cost of the trip is £200, however, our Governing Body has agreed to fund half of the trip for every child, which means we need every child to commit to paying £100. The cost includes 1 night's accommodation, all meals, insurance, coach transport throughout and all entrance fees. The only addition to this will be some spending money for gifts/souvenirs.
If you require any other information, please contact the office.
